High Pressure Threaded Bulls-Eye Sight Flow Indicators

Jacoby-Tarbox’s full line of threaded bulls-eye sight flow indicators have been precisely engineered per the design criteria of ASME to provide a full ASME rated unit for flow observation and indication. Threaded bullseye sight flows have been engineered per the design criteria of the ASME B31.1 & B31.3 Power & Chemical Piping Codes, incorporating only ASTM listed metals in the unit’s construction. This standard-setting group of features includes full ASME code compliance with regards to yield criteria, materials, and pressure/temperature ratings.

90° Flanged Sight Flow Indicators

Jacoby-Tarbox’s full ASME rated line of flanged bullseye sight flow indicators may be customized to include additional threaded or flanged connections. A sight flow indicator cast with 90-degree flanged connections is also available and can be customized.

Features:

• Flanged connections per ASME B16.5
• Threaded connections (male and female) per ASME B16.1
• 90° unit matches “take-out” or face-to-face of Class 150 & Class 300 long radius elbows
• Standard fasteners per ASTM A354 and ASTM A194

Cylindrical Sheathed Sight Flow Indicator

Jacoby-Tarbox Sheathed Tubular sight flow indicators allow for greater visibility than bulls-eye styles. These units include cylindrical glass similar to tubular models with the addition of a body to protect the glass and help isolate the unit from pipeline stresses.

Features:

• Increased visibility with cylinder protection from rigid, non-wetted body
• Pressure ratings are 150 psig (10.3 Bar) or less (varies by size)
• Stuffing box seal eliminates direct loading of glass

Sight Windows

Weld-On Sight Windows for ASME Pressure Vessels
and non-ASME Applications

Jacoby-Tarbox Pressure Vessel Quality (PVQ) windows, circular and obround, are available manufactured in accordance with Section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Weld pads are a proprietary size and designed to be self-reinforcing like any other studding outlet. Factory thicknesses work for most applications. Custom thicknesses are available to meet your vessel designer’s requirements. Non-ASME windows are available for lighter duty and piping applications.

Flange-Mounted Sight Windows

Jacoby-Tarbox offers a full line of spray rings for installation directly against sight windows to direct secondary fluids (liquid or gas) against the window to remove debris.

Eductors

Tank Liquid Agitators (TLAs)

The Jacoby-Tarbox Tank Liquid Agitator (JT TLA) is an eductor designed for “in-tank” applications. The TLA operates on the principle of flow dynamics. Pressurized fluid is accelerated through the nozzle to become a high velocity stream that entrains tank contents and intimately mixes with them. This combined stream exits the TLA at a high velocity, creating a flow field capable of causing additional agitation and mixing the tank contents.

Jacoby-Tarbox specializes in introducing new lighting technologies to the sight flow indicator and sight window industries. The Phaeton XTL is based on ultra high-intensity LED technology and easily illuminates large vessels, reactors, and large sight flow indicators with dark liquids.
