Founded in 1976, Fai Filtri is a healthy Italian company whose general HQ is in Pontirolo Nuovo (BG). It produces filtering elements and components for the aftermarket, hydraulic, electrical discharge machining, air/oil separation and industrial plant engineering sectors.
Led by the Pasotto family for more than 40 years, with founder Wilmo (now Chairman) and his son Roberto (Chief Executive), Fai Filtri offers a wide range of products including water and air filters for dust extraction, micro-filtering elements for EDM, components for compressors, filters for air/oil separation, clogging indicators, elements for hydraulic suction, aftermarket products and spin-on filters. Upon request, Fai Filtri can also produce special filters for the petrochemical, oil, iron & steel and naval sectors, for electric and hydroelectric power stations, and water processing. A well-structured range that guarantees efficient solutions to meet any type of filtering problem.
Fai Filtri is a growing firm at both national and international level, with premises in Italy, Canada, Malaysia, the United States and Russia.
FCS series: in line filters with spin-on cartridges (SPIN-ON) with flow rates
from 10 l/min up to 360 l/min and operating pressure up to 12 bar. FAI FILTRI
technical team paid special attention to the engineering and manufacturing
processes of these series during both the research stage and the production one.
The research and experimentation both on the filtering media and on the mechanical
parts of the FCS series was aimed to lower pressure losses, increase the filtration
efficiency and improve the performances on the side of the retention of contaminants.
Modern diesel engines have achieved high efficiency levels, thanks to high technology fuel injection systems. In these systems the nozzles dimensions of the injectors, as well as the high working pressure, play a fundamental role for a complete, clean and efficient combustion. With these devices it is essential that the fuel in the circuit is completely free of impurities.
The “SUE” type filters series is particularly suitable for submersed assembly into tanks or on intake lines for volumetric pumps protection from gross particles contamination. There are 13 sizes available with nominal flow rates up to 500 l/min. Filters can also be equipped with by-pass valves.
A range of screwable (spin-on) cartridges that are easy to assemble and replace, ideal for air/oil separation using the coalescence principle. Stacked filtering elements for air/oil separation with coalescent filtering baffle, suitable for assembly on the rotary screw compressors or blade compressors of the leading international producers, and interchangeable with all the main separator filters. Flow rates from 0.6 to 7 m3/min, and flow rates up to 45 m3/min.
Filters and filtering elements for the micro-filtering of cutting fluids and other types of liquid. Made using high-efficiency filtering baffles with a filtering level up to 5 micron, that hold back even the finest polluting particles. Particularly suitable for wire and sinker EDM tools, cutting fluid systems of tool machines, grinding machines, etc. A wide choice of filtering elements suitable for the EDM tools of all the world's leading producers.
The CFR filtering cartridges are ideal for a variety of applications regarding
environmental protection (respect of emission values) and system protection
(such as the filtering of air fed into cars), covering numerous sectors: food,
pharmaceuticals, industrial, cement works, mining, co-generation plants and
painting systems.
FAI FILTRI filtering cartridges for dust extraction guarantee optimum results
in a multitude of processes for separating the following types of dust: metallic
dust (gold, silver, steel), food-related dust (tea, powdered milk, powdered
dressings, etc.), tableting dust, turbogas, minerals (quartz, cement, chalk),
ceramic dust (glass and aluminium oxide), organic and synthetic dust (India
rubber, wood, pigments, etc.).
The “AFN” filters are used on small-capacity engines, screw or piston compressors, vacuum pumps and marine engines. They offer notable advantages: flexibility in the various applications, the possibility to mount a silencer and to use them in damp environments, the total lack of metallic parts, 100% recyclability, easy maintenance and an operating temperature between -30°C and +130°C.

Simplex and duplex filters for in-line assembly on industrial, petrochemical,
hydraulic and lubrication systems, for the decontamination of fluids such as
water, oil, gas, etc.
Safe, automatic filters that guarantee almost maintenance-free use and are
therefore ideal for systems and installations with limited monitoring. Filters
made with a carbon steel body, AISI 304 or 316. Flow rates up to 1000 m3/h.
Operating pressure up to 40 bar. Filtering elements with star-shaped or stacked
cartridge, with filtering from 1000 to 3 micron (absolute).
Upon request, tests can be carried out in line with the Standards ASME - ISPESL -
LLOYDS R. - RINA, and production can be adapted to the customer's drawings or
specifications.
Automatic self-cleaning filters (counter-current washing using the filtered fluid),
without any interruption of the flow (up to 8000 m3/h). Operating pressure from
min. 2.5 bar to max. 12 bar. Filtering from 90 to 45 micron.
