Vacuum Switches

A vacuum pressure switch operates by comparing the relative pressure between your process pressure and a vacuum. The benefit of this technology is the ability to measure pressure below your local atmospheric pressure.

Temperature Switch

TEMPERATURE SWITCH

A temperature switch or thermal switch is used to open and close switch contacts. The switching status of the temperature switch changes depending on the input temperature. This function is used as protection against overheating or overcooling.

Differential Switches

DIFFERENTIAL SWITCHES

A differential pressure switch is a device which utilizes a differential air pressure to actuate an electric switch at a pre-set actuation point. This may be the difference between two positive or two negative pressures, one of each, or a positive and atmospheric or a negative and atmospheric pressure.

REGULATORS

The actuators are made of a strong aluminum alloy. The advantage of these actuators is that it is more than 50% lighter than actuators built up from steel parts. Pressure transducers, electro-pneumatic transducers and motorized transducers can also be supplied by ITT Controls. A number of products in this range are even protected and IEEE qualified. Low pressure, and vacuum pressure reducing regulators are also present in the product range as well as several high-pressure regulators. Actuators

ACTUATORS

An actuator is a device that produces a motion by converting energy and signals going into the system. The motion it produces can be either rotary or linear. Linear actuators, as the name implies, produce linear motion. This means that linear actuators can move forward or backwards on a set linear plane – a set distance they can travel in either direction before they must stop.

Rotary actuators on the other hand produce rotary motion, meaning that the actuator revolves on a circular plane. Unlike the linear actuator, the rotary actuator is not limited by a set path, which means it can keep rotating in the same direction for as long as necessary.

Transducers and Diaphragm Seals

TRANSDUCERS AND DIAPHRAGM SEALS

Diaphragm Seals, also referred to as chemical seals, are used in applications where the pressure sensor requires isolation from the process media. These applications may be corrosive, high temp, clogging, or require a sanitary fluid to remain captured in the piping or vessel.

Rather than the process fluid interfacing with the pressure sensor, the pressure is exerted onto the flexible diaphragm and transmitted hydraulically to the instrument through the fill fluid. When properly mounted and filled a diaphragm seal assembly will have minimal effect on the instrument’s performance.
